Zak Starkey is an eminent drummer of coveted Rock band “The Who” from United Kingdom. Zak Starkey was born on 13th of September 1965 in Hammersmith, England. Zak is the first child of “The Beatles” drummer Ringro Starr aka Richard Starkey and Maureen Cox, first wife of Richard Starkey. Zak Starkey has been un-officially associated with “The Who” since 1994.

Zak Starkey un-officially has been performing along with “The Who” only for their live and studio performances, as the fourth drummer of the band. Zak Starkey also has worked for another UK based band named “Oasis” as a third drummer until summer 2008. He also has worked as a session based and touring drummer with numerous artists such as “The Waterboys”, “Paul Weller”, “The Lightning Seeds”, “Johnny Marr”, “The Icicle Works” and “ASAP”.

Zak’s parents got divorced when he was only 9 and later his father married with Barbara Bach and his mother tied not with the founder of “Hard Rock Café” Isaac Tigrett. Zak started taking int4restin music since he was 8 and started learning how to play a drum on its own. Though his father initially didn’t like his son walking on his footsteps, but then gave none drumming lesson to him.

Zak Starkey presently has given a live performance with the UK based rock band “The Who” during the half time show of Super Bowl on 7th of February 2010 at Sun Life Stadium.
