Samsung brings Nuance’s predictive text on new phones worldwide
Nuance, a leading provider of speech and imaging solutions for businesses and consumers around the world, will now provide T9 and XT9 predictive text input products to Samsung mobile phones worldwide.
Samsung is already extending its portfolio with the recent launch of products that feature QWERTY keypads for heavy texters. With Nuance’s T9 and XT9 predictive text feature, Samsung mobiles will further help its consumers with this latest innovation to send fast and easy text messages and emails.
With the help of this new technology, users can also type URLs quickly via any keypad format, including standard and touchscreen 12-key and QWERTY keypads.
“Samsung brings innovative phone after innovative phone to market, and we are thrilled to expand our relationship and offer our predictive text solutions to its broad consumer base,” said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile. “We understand the messaging demands that leading global handset manufacturers like Samsung face, so we’re continuously innovating our predictive text input solutions to support any device brought to market, in more than 80 languages worldwide.”
As a result of this renewed partnership, Samsung will provide innovative predictive text capabilities to a broad range of consumers in all of its markets, as T9 and XT9 support more than 80 languages.
