Google Nexus One Phone, Where Will It Fit In?

The mobile phone industry is buzzing with the previews of the new Google phone, or if you prefer the Nexus One. With a release date believed to be in January 2010, the Nexus One at first glance does look like many other phones on the market. It sports a thin and sleek body, and touch screen technology. It also features some interesting applications, not least the new Google Goggles, whereby the application tries to recognise objects in a photo and then generates search results about them. A clever little app if ever there was one. Google navigation is preloaded too.
The real question, is where does this phone fit in with the Apple iPhone, and the Blackberry range. Both are considered the best phones available for their chosen markets, so what room is there for the Nexus One?
It is not inconceivable that the Nexus One will simply adopt the best of both worlds and become the indispensable phone. Google have an unbeatable knack of not only developing clever technology, but useful technology, which is easy to use and understand.
If this concept is transferred to the Nexus One, Google could well be on a winner with this phone or at least future releases.
The Nexus One is by all accounts going to be released early next year on the T Mobile network, and will also feature Wi-Fi connectivity.
No price has been attached to the phone at this time.
Do you feel Google will be a credible rival to Apple and Blackberry, or should they just stick to search engines?
