Adknowledge integrates special offers into its automated ad network
Adknowledge is announcing today that it has created a self-serve system for placing special offer ads on Facebook and MySpace applications, just as it does with other kinds of advertising.
The BidSystem 3.0 service lets advertisers bid for leads on a cost-per-action basis within Facebook and MySpace apps. This means that Adknowledge is integrating into its ad network the offer system that it acquired with offer provider Super Rewards.
Each day, millions of consumers play thousands of games on Facebook and MySpace. Many games let users buy virtual currency to get special items in the games. Instead of requiring users to buy virtual currency, Adknowledge lets consumers sign up for special offers, such as free software trials or credit cards, in exchange for receiving virtual currency. Each day, thousands of consumers take those special offers, generating leads for hundreds of advertisers.
Advertisers only pay for the offers that yield results.
Kansas City-based Adknowledge has 200 employees and raised $48 million from Technology Crossover Ventures in 2006. The company was started by Scott Lynn in 2004.
