100,000 Droids sold, says analyst
Verizon has probably sold half its stock of 200,000 Droid phones, a respected analyst told Bloomberg reporters. The number is impressive in the industry, but doesn’t touch Apple’s million-unit first weekend for its most recent model iPhone.
One restraint on sales may be that a Droid actually costs $299.99 up front. Buyers need t0 mail in a $100 rebate.
